Surface roughness is directly related to a variety of applications we use paper for. The ability to achieve and monitor a desirable print and coating quality is critical to producing a smooth sheet of paper.
The porosity head clamps the sample and provides a constant pressure. Both the roughness and porosity of your samples can be measured with one instrument.
In order to keep it at a constant level, the 58-27 Bendtsen tester measures air pressure in the head. This enables direct control and recording of pressure changes. Plus, our innovative device offers direct feedback, so adjustments are possible when needed.
The 7-inch touchscreen uses large icons to guide you through the various settings and tests. This makes the navigation intuitive and less language-dependent. Our Bendtsen tester is so easy to use, as the crystal-clear touchscreen features intuitive icons.
The paper roughness measurement head (10 cm²) of our Bendtsen tester is connected to the instrument with flexible hoses. This flexibility makes it easy to rapidly perform multiple tests.
Our Bendtsen tester can also be supplied with a Sheffield smoothness testing option. Simply connect the special testing head to the 58-27 to meet the Sheffield specifications.
Replacing the measurement ring of our Bendtsen tester is quick and simple. This cost-saving feature means you don’t have to replace the whole head after frequent use over the years.
