The TQC Sheen Krebs Viscometer DV2300 is a digital rotational viscometer that measures paint and coating viscosity using the KREBS method - a paddle rotating at a constant 200 rpm in a fixed volume of sample. It converts torque into three simultaneous outputs: Krebs units (KU), centipoise (cP) and grams (g), with automatic unit conversion shown on the LCD display. Used by paints and coatings QC laboratories, paint manufacturers, automotive OEM coating suppliers, printing ink producers, adhesive manufacturers and cosmetics QC labs, the DV2300 supports ASTM D562 Krebs-unit specifications alongside direct viscosity readings for a wide range of Newtonian and near-Newtonian fluids.
The TQC Sheen Digital Stopwatch is an accurate and reliable stopwatch, with a clear display, large digits, split times and a resolution to 1/100th of a second.
The TQC Sheen Gel Strength Tester DV2400 measures yield strength and viscosity of thick paints, gels, putties, semi-solid materials and food products - the range of materials that fall outside the working range of conventional rotational viscometers. Used by paints and coatings QC laboratories, food producers (jams, jellies, dairy spreads), pharmaceutical and cosmetics QC labs (gels and ointments) and adhesive manufacturers, the DV2400 delivers reliable, repeatable yield-strength data via a rotating paddle spindle at 0.5-5.0 rpm. A four-line digital display with backlight, level adapter set, and interchangeable spindle range make it a straightforward addition to any QC workflow.

Machines and tools that can be used to analyze any number of properties of a sample or product can be thought of as types of physical property measurement equipment. That means they can range from small and specific instruments, like a digital micrometer, to larger solutions that offer a variety of testing functions, such as universal testing machines (UTMs).
There are a massive number of ways of testing the physical properties of materials and products.
From melt flow testing to optical testing, adhesion testing to viscosity testing, there are tests to help you analyze basically any property you can think of. And at Industrial Physics, you’ll find the equipment to help, here’s just a very small samples of the kind of physical properties testing you can carry out:
We understand the importance of being able to test your samples, materials and products in accordance with the applicable international testing standards. That is why the equipment designed and supplied by our specialist testing brands is made with the most widely recognized standards in mind.
Accuracy can be affected by sample preparation, temperature control, instrument calibration, and environmental conditions. Variations in viscosity, density, or surface tension can also be sensitive to contamination or handling. Using standardized procedures and properly calibrated equipment ensures consistent, repeatable results.
The correct test depends on your material type and the property you need to quantify. Viscosity tests assess flow behaviour, density tests measure mass‑to‑volume relationships, and permeability tests evaluate barrier performance. Matching the method to your product’s real‑world application ensures meaningful, actionable data.
