TMI Büchel Tack Tester (Model PICMA P3)

When you need to measure the tacking strength between vulcanized and unvulcanized rubber, look no further than the PICMA Tack Tester. This flexible tackiness tester also lets you measure the tacking properties of a wide range of other materials, including foams, plastics and more.

Description

A spectacular tackiness tester

Brought to you by TMI Büchel , our physical property specialist testing brand, this tack tester also inspects the tacking strength of foams, plastics and polymers and textiles.

The PICMA P3 is a bench top tack tester that’s relied upon across the flexible packaging, inks and coatings, and plastic and polymer sectors. It’s perfect for testing the tackiness of a wide range of samples, so you can ensure you know exactly how well they perform.

Tack tester results when you need them

Tackiness testing can be an integral part of the QA process for a wide range of industries, from flexible packaging to the automotive industry. If you’re using rubber and reinforcement materials to create molding tires and belts, they’re often bonded in multiple layers and vulcanized. It’s essential to check each component’s tackiness with a tack tester before the forming process is completed.

Tack tester alternatives

We make a wide range of tack tester devices and related accessories. For example, check out the Heat Sealer and Hot Tack Base 75-50 or the Tackiness Checker (Model HTC-1) 80-10. Whether you need a tackiness tester to check the vulcanized rubber you’re using for tires or you’re looking to check the bond strength of plastics, polymers, and textiles, we can help you find the right hot tack tester for the job.

Customer Success Story

Frequent seamer‑quality issues → Adopted SEAMscan SPC system → Faster checks, fewer defects, and stronger line efficiency ✓

The problem

Canning production line problems are time consuming and costly. At some point many food and beverage companies encounter an issue with the seams of their cans, as was the case for a major brewery we work with.

The solution

Our customer needed a reliable machine to measure everything from seam thickness, height and gap through to countersink depth and overlap. The SEAMscan SPC System, an affordable, high-resolution tool for double seam inspection and measurement, solved their problem.

The result

‍Gicole Patterson of Blues City Brewery said:

“We have experienced very minimal downtime due to their (the IP technical support team’s) dedication! I can’t express enough how happy I am with their support!”
