APPITA/AS 1301.429s is a flat crush testing approach that was developed to measure the strength of corrugated boards using a compression tester.

To perform a APPITA/AS 1301.429s flat crush test you subject a test specimen of corrugated board to increasing force, applied perpendicularly to the surface by a compression tester. The crush test continues until the fluting collapses and then the maximum force sustained is recorded.
To perform a successful crush test to APPITA/AS testing standards you’ll need a motor-driven type compression tester and cutting instruments.
