TQC Sheen Adhesion Test Kit (HPK)

Developed by TQC Sheen the Adhesion Test Kit (HPK) provides a standardized method to determine paint adhesion on wood and wood-like materials. Designed to minimize substrate damage, the kit delivers repeatable results while reducing the risk of false readings.

The adhesion is evaluated by removing a defined paint section using the supplied cutting tool and applying test tape. By comparing the removed paint on the tape against the paint remaining on the surface, operators can classify the adhesion according to clearly illustrated standards ranging from Class 0 to Class 5.

Each kit is thoughtfully designed to support a variety of coating evaluations:

• Adhesion test scales
• Wet film thickness test (50–160 µm, in steps of 10 µm)
• Levelling test (1, 1.5, and 2 mm)
• Film applicator (0–180 µm, in steps of 20 µm)
• Edge radius gauges (2, 3, 4, and 5 mm)

The kit includes a precision cutting tool and specialized adhesion test tape, which can also be ordered separately.
