Steinfurth NICOlab

The NICOLAB is an advanced bench-top CO2 analyzer that offers accurate non-destructive testing of CO2 in filled beverage containers.

Description

Brought to you by Steinfurth, our electromechanical testing systems brand, the NICOLAB CO2 analyzer combines state-of-the-art technology and controls for the best in carbon dioxide measurement.

Both taste and shelf life are influenced by the amount of dissolved CO2 gas in beverages. So it’s vital for beverage makers to have complete confidence in their CO2 measurement capability.

The NICOLAB CO2 analyzer offers fully automatic and user-independent sample preparation and measurement. It provides an accurate and reliable measurement method for diagnostically conclusive monitoring of in-pack CO2 content.

Thermonanometric CO2 measurement

The sophisticated technology of the NICOlab CO2 analyzer  allows you to create a reproducible thermodynamic state in your packaging. Then it automatically collects insightful data.

The advanced thermometric readings produced are based on the measurement of pressure / temperature and the calculation of CO2 using the Henry’s law approach.

Rapid, non-invasive CO2 measurement

Our fast, non-invasive measuring principle helps you to  measure CO2 content throughout the complete supply chain of sealed transparent beverage containers.

Laser-based non-destructive testing

With our patented laser-based measuring technology, the NICOLAB operates independently of packaging related parameters and headspace diameter.

Offering you a non-invasive, non-destructive testing solution, our CO2 analyzer cuts back on product and packaging waste – good news for the environment and your organization’s bottom line!

Multi-stage CO2 measurement

Take control of your CO2 measurement quality assurance across all stages of your beverage production cycle. From bottling to storage, transport and during market testing, the NICOLAB CO2 analyzer has you covered!

High tech carbon dioxide measurement

The NICOLAB CO2 analyzer features state-of-the-art controls and software. This creates a responsive and informative touch user interface.

Other great features include the sophisticated, Ethernet-based machine interface and remote object representation through a simple JSON protocol.

CO2 measurement testing portfolio

Across the IP portfolio we make a wide range of CO2 analyzers and devices for carbon dioxide measurement.

Take the Steinfurth NICO for example. It’s the handheld alternative to the NICOLAB CO2 analyzer. Just like its stationary sibling, it offers you non-destructive CO2 measurement in filled beverage containers.

You should also check out the Steinfurth Automatic CO2 Tester CDA MK-6. It measures pressure and temperature simultaneously, calculates the CO2 content and transfers the measurement results via data-interface to the base-unit.

Another great CO2 measurement device from our Steinfurth range to consider is the Steinfurth CO2 Tank & KEG Tester. It checks the CO2 content at different process stages to verify the quality of the final product. This CO2 analyzer can be connected to a tank of the product line or keg for simple product sampling.

Let’s talk about nondestructive testing!

We’ve learnt a thing or two about how to build exceptional carbon dioxide measurement machines and we like to talk and write about it!

For example, we’ve published this blog that explores how some of the most popular infrared carbon dioxide sensors work. If this type of content interests you then why not also check out this article that explains why electrochemical cells are used in oxygen analyzers.

The Problem

To taste success in the beverage industry you need a perfect blend of the right recipe and enticing, professional packaging. If your labelling lets you down then you risk putting off your customers before they even take a sip.

The Solution

Our customer needed an advanced label inspection machine to guarantee packaging quality across their diverse portfolio of bottled beverages for soft drinks, beers and juices. We presented the ideal solution in the Eagle Vision 360° Label Inspection module, our industry-leading label testing device.

The Result

Our label inspection machine captures images and rotates them to identify a match. It uses high-resolution, full color cameras and reads numbers – so it performs advanced functions like scanning best before dates. The team at A. Le Coq can now confidently check every aspect of their labels far beyond their existing ability.
