The CMC-KUHNKE FCG-3000 Finished Can Gauge accurately measures critical parameters of multiple-sized, 2-piece cans. It’s a semi-automated tool that offers a straightforward can measurement system.  

Description

2-piece can measurement made easy

When it comes to 2-piece can measurement, the CMC-KUHNKE Finished Can Gauge offers a quick and easy way to get a full breadth of information. 2-piece cans contain two main elements and are produced by molding a piece of material into a body with an integral end. A seamed lid is then attached to close the can, offering numerous areas for testing.  

Multiple can measurements

With a touch of a button, the FCG-3000 automatically measures flange width, can height, countersink depth, bottom depth, 1st bead height (can end), option of bead height and complete bead-profile analysis. Ensuring you have fully comprehensive 2-piece can measurement and all of the data you need to complete your QA process.  

How the CMC-KUHNKE Finished Can Gauge works

This semi-automatic gauge is easy to operate. The can is rotated automatically and can be measured in up to 36 positions. The FCG-3000’s solid, fixture-based design, V-Block positioning piece and automatic operation ensures operators can feel confident in their readings, regardless of their quality assurance experience. 

Switching between can heights does not require the gauge to be re-calibrated, saving time between inspections. 

Easy management of can measurement data

An integrated microprocessor allows the gauge to be PC-independent, eliminating any potential downtime due to computer related issues. Data can also be transferred directly into Visionary QCTM or other data acquisition software, so you can transfer your measurements to the system that best suits your set up.
