Der Canadian Standard Freeness Tester bestimmt die Entwässerungsrate einer verdünnten Zellstoffsuspension und drückt sie in Form des Freeness aus. Die Entwässerungsgeschwindigkeit hängt von der Arbeit ab, die beim Mahlen oder Mahlen auf die Faser ausgeübt wird. Es werden zwei Modelle angeboten: Wandmodell (Messing) und Standmodell (Edelstahl).
