Standards
TAPPI Useful Method (UM) 21 is a TAPPI international standard approach to measure and sort pulpwood chips using a sieve analysis approach.
If you work with paper, pulp or solid particulates then you need assurance that the wood chips and materials you use are reliably sized and sorted. This TAPPI woodchip classification method enables you to measure the particle size distribution of solid pulpwood chips for many purposes.
TAPPI Useful Methods (UMs)
TAPPI Useful Methods (UMs) describe tests, procedures, or practices written in the same general style as a full TAPPI standard, but without the vigorous precision requirements. Because they do not qualify as standards, UMs do not undergo the same review-by-consensus process.
So, how can Industrial Physics improve your TAPPI UM 21 woodchip testing?
Testing Machines Inc. ChipClass-II Specification Configuration 71-01
The TMI ChipClass-II Specification Configuration 71-01 is a robust and accurate wood chip classification system for the laboratory or the workplace.
Brought to you by Testing Machines Inc, our physical property testing specialist brand, this wood chip classifier is designed for trouble-free chip classification. In fact, with its carefully selected components and minimal moving parts, the 71-01 is the most reliable chip classification system available.
We’ve learnt a thing or two about chip classification testing over the decades. Now Industrial Physics is recognized as a brand that likes to bring new, innovative wood chip classifiers to market.
We like to share our knowledge and we’re here to help you to answer your questions about woodchip classification. Across the knowledgebase section of our website we publish lots of blogs on related subjects.
