ISO 873 is part of an international ISO testing standard developed to guide the keeping and cold storage of peaches. 

The International Organization of Standards (ISO) produces a wide range of ISO standards to guide manufacturers, production lines and laboratories when checking the integrity of packaging, products, and materials across many industries. 

The ISO 873 peach testing guidance describes how to keep varieties of peach, like the Prunus Persica. It includes conditions of harvesting and storage and describes how to obtain optimum temperature, relative humidity, air circulation and storage life conditions. Plus, it offers further requirements for controlled-atmosphere storage.
