Introducing ISO 2812 Industrial Physics 

ISO 2812 is an international ISO standard method to determine the resistance of individual – or multilayer – coating material systems to the effects of liquids or paste-like products.  

The International Organization of Standards (ISO) produces a wide range of ISO standards to guide manufacturers, production lines and laboratories when checking the integrity of packaging, products, and materials across many industries. 

The ISO 2812 testing standard contains several parts that deal with the sampling of paints, varnishes and related products. These include: 

ISO 2812-1: immersion in liquids other than water
ISO 2812-2: water immersion method
ISO 2812-3: method using an absorbent medium
ISO 2812-4: spotting methods
ISO 2812-5: temperature-gradient oven method
