EDANA NWSP 30.1

Introducing EDANA NWSP 30.1 – Industrial Physics

EDANA NWSP 30.1 is a global EDANA testing standard that provides a method for determining the bursting strength of nonwoven fabrics.

EDANA creates common standards and testing guidelines for nonwovens and related industries for materials testing and has a global reach with a focus on Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The EDANA NWSP 30.1 bursting strength test specifies an inspection method that reveals the hydraulic bursting strength of nonwoven materials using a motor driven diaphragm bursting strength tester.

What is bursting strength testing useful for?

Burst testing is a catch all term that can refer to lots of different testing techniques. You might also hear it referred to as rupture testing.

If you’re looking for a safe and effective method to determine how much pressure your materials and components will withstand before they burst, burst testing is a solid choice. Burst strength testing can be used to understand a wide range of materials, including nonwoven fabrics, and a burst tester makes the job a simple process.
You can find out more about burst and rupture testing in our guide.

Industrial Physics nonwoven burst testers

So, how can Industrial Physics improve your EDANA NWSP 30.1 nonwoven burst testing?

Burst Tester 13-56

This digital mullen burst tester will measure the strength and resilience of sheet materials by burst testing for real life failures such as punctures and rupture.

It uses hydraulic pressurization of a membrane against a clamped, film, or sheet sample. This burst testing approach produces a multi-directional stress on the material to failure – which is the burst strength.

With state-of-the-art electronics and user interface, our new 13-56 burst tester is easier to use than ever before and makes light work of EDANA NWSP 30.1 testing.
