Introducing DIN EN 14022 – Industrial Physics

DIN EN 14022 is a national standard that’s used to inspect the pot life (working life) of multicomponent adhesives.

DIN (Deutsches Institut für Normung e.V.), a German standardization body, has developed the use, rules, guidelines and characteristics of around 30,000 standards. The DIN EN 14022 standard specifies five methods that will help you with your adhesive testing.

The DIN EN 14022 adhesion testing approach

The five adhesive testing methods outlined in DIN EN 14022 determine the amount of time adhesives can be used in specific circumstances. It has a particular focus on the rheology testing of your adhesive sample and its rate of reaction

This DIN testing standard can also be used for assessing non-structural adhesives. Because of the different properties of the individual multi-component systems, like rheology or viscosity and velocity of hardening, not all methods can be applied to each system with the same suitability.
