BS 1610 is a global BSI testing method that helps you to determine the compressive strength of materials using a compression tester.  

The British Standards (BS) are the testing standards produced by the BSI Group, which is incorporated under a royal charter, formally designated as the national standards body (NSB) for the UK.  

Why is compression testing important?

Compression and crush testing are common and essential parts of any corrugated, paper and board QA process. Compressive strength testing can also be used to measure the strength of a wide variety of other materials. There are various tests designed to illustrate the peak load the sample can handle.
