ASTM D3276-07 is a global ASTM test method that’s used by painting inspectors as a guide to check industrial coatings on metal substrates.
It’s an ASTM testing approach that will help you as a paint inspector to carry out your duties efficiently and effectively. It covers everything from – how to prepare a surface for painting, including the use of dewcheck meters – through to final approval for both field and shop work.
You’ll find a helpful checklist in the appendices section of ASTM D3276-07. The authors also advise that you seek out the following documents for more information on this area of paint inspection.
In some circumstances and industries the owners may require certified inspection personnel – for example for paint inspection activities carried out at nuclear facilities.
So, how can Industrial Physics improve your ASTM D3276 testing?
