The importance of brightness measurements

The brightness of paper, pulp, tissue and paperboard is a key quality determiner, creating an optical value that can affect how visually appealing the end product of packaging is. Paper brightness is a way of describing the numerical value of the reflectance factor of a sample with respect to blue light of specific spectral and geometric characteristics.
