TQC Sheen Specific Gravity Cups / Pycnometers

Specific gravity cups, also known as density cups or pycnometers, are ideal for very accurate determination of the density of a liquid.

The TQC Sheen Specific Gravity Cups, are also referred to as density cups or a pycnometer, are designed to provide accurate measurements of the density of a liquid. 

The advantages of a precise pycnometer 

Pycnometers are useful for accurately measuring the density or specific gravity of liquids and solids, making them essential tools in various industries, including pharmaceuticals, food and beverage, construction materials, and scientific research 

The TQC Sheen pycnometers are manufactured with great precision and from durable aluminum or stainless steel.  

For liquids that most likely contain trapped air or gas bubbles, the TQC Sheen Pressure Density Cup is available.  

Other requirements  

In order to perform a pycnometer measurement well, one needs to read the appropriate ISO, DIN or ASTM standard and have a high quality and calibrated weighing scale and thermometer at hand.  

Possible reasons for selecting a stainless steel pycnometer over an aluminum one:

Corrosion Resistance: Stainless steel is highly resistant to corrosion, making it suitable for use in a wide range of environments, including those with harsh chemicals or high humidity. This resistance ensures the longevity of the pycnometer and maintains its accuracy over time.
