Built by TQC Sheen, our paint testing specialist brand, this highly accurate shore durometer hardness tester is ideal for coating laboratories and paint production.
It’s exactly what you need for testing materials including polyester, ABS, nylon, polyurethane, kevlar, acryl, wood and polystyrene.
Shore durometers measure the depth of an indentation in the material created by a given force on a standardized presser foot. The depth is dependent on the hardness of the material, its viscoelastic properties, the shape of the presser foot and the duration of the test.
Our shore durometers are a reliably robust device that will measure the impression hardness of soft materials such as coatings, plastics and rubber, without shock.
Ours comes equipped with a drag indicator, which holds the highest measured result and a simple test block.
When you need to meet the challenging requirements of international standards bodies, our shore durometer won’t let you down. It complies with many standards including DIN 53505 and ISO 868 and ASTMD2240.
The two durometers differ in the shape of the indenter and as a result they differ in the materials used for.

The measurements are in units 0 to 100.
Ideal for materials such as elastomers, vinyl, rubber, leather, pvc, silicone-rubber, teflon, neopreen, etc.
Ideal for materials such as polyester, ABS, nylon, polyurethane, kevlar, acryl, wood, polystyrene etc.
Remember, you can ensure the TQC Sheen shore hardness tester will run efficiently with the help of Industrial Physics service support. We’re here to ensure you have access to repairs and calibration, wherever you are in the world.
Across the IP portfolio we make a wide range of products. For example, there’s the TQC Sheen shore hardness test block kit durometer and our indentation hardness testers.
We like to share a little knowledge along the way. Why not check our recent blog the shore hardness scale explained for starters?
Upgrade your testing accuracy with this vital accessory. With the TQC Sheen Shore Hardness Gauge Test Stand and TQC Sheen Shore Hardness Gauge Durometer - Shore D, don't forget to include the additional 4000 grams of weight.
The Shore Hardness Gauge Test Stand is designed for Shore A, C, and D* type Durometers, ensuring precise and reproducible hardness tests on rubber or plastics.
The TQC Sheen Shore Hardness Test Block Kit provides reliable reference blocks for checking durometer accuracy.
