Make sure your paints, varnishes and coatings are up to scratch with our industry-leading scrub abrasion and washability tester.
In order to request a quote, arrange a service or make an inquiry about this product you must select modifiers above.
Built by TQC Sheen, our paint testing specialist brand, this robust abrasion tester measures scratch, wear and color loss resistance caused by wet or dry abrasion.
By simulating everyday wear from cleaning actions or general use it will show you whether your paints, varnishes and coatings are fit for purpose.
You can decide to set a ‘pass or fail’ test to a specified number of strokes. Or you can define the minimum number of strokes at which a coating will fail by checking at regular intervals.
Our scrub abrasion and washability tester is suitable for a wide range of scrub, abrasion and washability tests to the international standard requirements of ASTM, ISO and DIN.
When you invest in an abrasion tester machine from Industrial Physics you get a choice of models. If you only need dry testing then our basic abrasion tester (Art. Nr. AB6010) does the job. Prefer to have both dry and wet testing options? Our pump-kitted standard model (Art. Nr. AB6000) gives you that extra capability.
Each base unit is flexible. This means that you can easily swap your testing tools and modify the abrasion tester to make a variety of inspections possible. This modular system helps you to vary your approach to match different testing standards, slashing laboratory costs.
Our scrub abrasion and washability tester is driven by a micro-step controlled electro motor. This gives you precise and steady, speed and sinus waveform control.
The abrasion tester’s intuitive operation kicks in with the flick of a jog-dial switch while the multi-lingual operating menu on a large illuminated display makes for easy operation.
Check out the ‘triple i’ operating interface. This unique system guides you through the interface of TQC Sheen lab-machines. The abrasion tester’s operating menu detects which buttons are active and illuminates them. This intuitive system is further enhanced with information on the machine’s display.
Across the IP portfolio we make a wide range of abrasion testing related products. For example, check out the video here showing our TQC Sheen camera tool in action.
The TQC Sheen camera tool is the perfect complement to our scrub abrasion and washability tester – allowing you to reduce resource and maximize time with our advanced software and two cameras!
