All-in-one can measurement system

The EPA – End Profile Analyzer – is an all-in-one can end inspection system. It uses a combination of laser profiling and mechanical gauging technologies in order to measure can ends for efficient EPA testing.

Our can inspection system includes an accurate material thickness gauge, comes pre-calibrated, and offers measurements in under 1 second for fast and easy end inspection. Its automatic measurement system ensures repeatability and offers non-contact, non-destructive measurements for the analysis of your can ends. Our can end analyzer can run a huge range of can inspections and is also multilingual, with translations available in most languages.

Optional extras include an inner bead gauge and Chuck wall angle and countersink bottom radius measurements.

Quickly measure for a range of can seam issues

Incorrect values on can ends can often cause major issues at the seamer like deadheads, stuck ends, false seams, and bad double seams. See more in our glossary of can defects. Also, can end curl specifications are very difficult to measure without the End Profile Analyzer.

Our can inspection system also replaces “go-no-go” gauges (like pin fit, chuck fit) and destructive measurement methods for sanitary and easy open ends which are inaccurate, time consuming, and give different results for different operators. With laser profiling technology, our EPA is able to measure all important end specifications using a non-contact optical laser measurement system.
