The CMC-KUHNKE Z542 Countersink Depth Gauge is specifically designed for measuring the countersink depth of cans with precision and features a resolution of 10 microns (0.01 mm). Whether it be food cans or beverage cans, the Countersink Depth Gauge is a universal device that can accommodate a variety of can types and sizes by using optional tooling.

Accurate countersink depth measurements

Measurements are clearly displayed on the digital indicator in as quickly as 3 seconds and can be displayed in inches or mm. However, to reduce the risk of manual recording errors, the gauge comes with an SPC output so it can be easily connected, via an additional interface cable, to an automated seam analysis system, such as the CMC-KUHNKE Visionary or Torus’ GaugeXplorer software.

The Z542 Countersink Depth Gauge is capable of measuring the countersink depth of 2-piece and 3-piece steel/tinplate and aluminum cans, accommodating can diameters from 48 to 158 mm.
