The CMC-KUHNKE Z315 Beverage Filled Can Gauge is the ideal quality control tool for measuring the height, countersink depth and seam thickness of beverage cans.
Brought to you by CMC-KUHNKE, our specialist metal packaging brand, the Z315 Beverage Filled Can Measuring Gauge offers multiple beverage can measurements in one device.
The versatile design of our robust and reliable can gauge offers you seam thickness, countersink depth and can height measurements of seamed cans in one device. It saves you time and money with a rapid measurement cycle time per can component of just 30 seconds.
The Z315 Beverage Filled Can Measuring Gauge provides multiple critical parameter measurements for round, filled or seamed cans:
The Z315 Beverage Filled Can Gauge offers industry-leading seam thickness testing accuracy of +/- 0.010 mm and gauge R&R (repeatability and reproducibility) of 0.020 mm.
Our beverage can controller measures the total width of the entire double seam once curled and completed. Start the test and the Z315’s sensitive contact probes get to work on your can. They measure thickness at a programmable number of rotational positions around the completed seam diameter. This includes the option of a full 360° seam thickness scan around the whole can.
If countersink depth testing with an accuracy of +/- 0.020 mm and a gauge R&R of 0.040 mm sounds good – the Z315 is the device, you need! Our quality can gauge quickly measures the total height of the entire double seam once curled and completed.
The contact probes measure the countersink from the seating face of the can when positioned on the gauge location plate. The depth is measured at a programmable number of rotational positions around the seam diameter. The probe can float to find the lowest part of the countersink. Alternatively, you can opt for a fixed position to measure the depth at a specific radial point.
Our can measurement gauge is the height of precision when it comes to can height testing! You can expect an accuracy of +/-0.010 mm and a gauge R&R of 0.020 mm.
The Z315 Beverage Filled Can Gauge quickly and accurately measures up to 16 positions around the component you’re testing.
Quickly understand if your can components are fit for purpose by establishing “pass,” “warning” and “fail” tolerance testing parameters. It’s a useful, time-saving quality control procedure that can be used to support your seam thickness, countersink depth and can height testing.
Designed for accuracy and convenience, the Z315 features automatic changeover from one component type to another. Just select the component you want to measure, and our can gauge does the rest. It quickly adjusts to suit the parameters of the measurement routine requested.
You’ll find it easy to maintain the accuracy and prolong the life of your Z315 can gauge using the beverage can calibration master, which can be supplied on purchase. This system calibration is a simple manual process. All of the resident programs are automatically calibrated using a single calibration program, which you can select from the menu screen.
The Z315 can gauge comes supplied with our advanced Torus GaugeXplorer measurement and machine control software. It has a range of features for your specific industry requirements to help improve productivity and meet quality requirements.
In the box you also get both an RS232 and a LAN connection point (standard ethernet) – network connectivity is required.
The Z315 can gauge is supplied in a durable benchtop cabinet with rounded profile beams.
