CMC-KUHNKE Back End Gauge

The BES-3000 is an operator-independent automatic gauge for two-piece beverage can testing. The hands-free design eliminates measurement errors caused by operator interference.

Brought to you by CMC-KUHNKE, our metal testing expert brand, the BES-3000 Back End Gauge allows you to take multiple measurements at one time. This both saves time and increases accuracy. 

Our automatic can gauge is a measurement system for two-piece beverage cans. You can rely on its accuracy to perform a number of inspections including plug diameter, can height, flange width and flange diameter testing. 

An automatic gauge for a simple process

As an automatic gauge, the BES-3000 is an operator-independent system. This makes your life simple – the gauge even adjusts automatically for use with multiple can heights.  

The measurement head of our can gauge adjusts automatically when a different can height is selected from the preprogrammed test types.  

All measurements are taken automatically at the touch of a button, and cans are automatically rotated to measure at multiple positions. Your automated beverage can test will measure in up to 20 different measurement configurations, plus an option for automatic in feed is available.   

Handy, hands-free can gauge capability  

Because the BES-3000 has a hands-free design this replaces individual, manual gauges. This in turn eliminates measurement variation as the result of operator interference.  

This semi-automatic can gauge system is available as a stand-alone gauging unit with a digital display or for data transfer directly into Visionary QC or data acquisition software. It also has automatic RS232 data output.

The intuitive, easy-to-use, touch-screen interface of our automatic gauge simplifies the beverage can testing process.
