The TQC Coating Thickness Gauge PosiTector 6000 Standard Model (without probe), is a durable rugged, fully electronic coating thickness gauge for fast and accurate thickness testing. It uses magnetic and eddy current principles to measure coating thickness on both ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
The PosiTector 6000 works on ferrous materials like steel and cast iron as well as non-ferrous ones such as aluminum and copper. The gauge is capable of automatically recognizing the substrate and taking measurements.
Ready to measure, the PosiTector 6000 needs no calibration adjustment for most applications, so you can get started quickly and easily. It also has an enhanced, one-handed menu navigation and a flashing display, ensuring it’s easy to use even in busy or noisy environments. It also has a weatherproof design and is resistant to solvent, acid, oil, water and dust.
This reliable coating thickness gauge is useful for testing a wide range of inks and coatings. It has a range of benefits and features including, a durable design, a certificate of calibration, easy connection to PCs and built-in temperature compensation.

The PosiTector 6000 accepts a wide range of Ferrous, non-Ferrous and Combination probes which is explained on page 4 of the brochure.
This accurate gauge conforms to ISO 2178/2360/2808, ISO 19840, ASTM B244/B499/D1186/D1400/D7091/E376/G12, BS3900-C5, SSPC-PA2, US Navy NAVSEA PPI 63101-000, US Navy NAVSEA 009-32, AS 2331.1.4, AS3894.3-B, and others.
