Description

Brought to you by Technidyne, our specialist optical and physical properties testing brand, our Anglo Pulverizer crushes up to 12 grams of a mineral or pigment sample into a consistently uniform powder.

If the measurement and preparation of minerals is important to your operation, then the Technidyne Anglo Pulverizer is the ideal tool to employ as your first step in the sampling preparation process.

What does the Anglo Pulverizer do?

The Technidyne Anglo Pulverizer is a machine that grinds and crushes mineral pigments into a fine, uniform powder and to bring consistency to your measurement procedures. It takes solid pigments and fillers and pulverizes them into very small particles through a repeatable, mechanical process.

From this point, you can take your powdered sample and compact it into a solid puck form using a sturdy and reliable instrument such as the Technidyne Powder Press apparatus.

Why is mineral pigment preparation important?

Proper mineral pigment preparation is an essential process as it affects the brightness or color of clay and other mineral pigments. These attributes primarily depend on the composition of the powder, but the values obtained are also influenced by the way in which the specimen is prepared.

A choice of two pulverizing machines

The Technidyne Anglo Pulverizer is available in both 110 and 220 volt configurations, and have been developed for the same purpose and deliver pulverizing perfection. Both options include one blade and one cup, and both are so easy to use – with no training or installation required.

TAPPI sample preparation perfection

The Technidyne Anglo Pulverizer was developed to enable you to comply with the requirements of a range of international mineral pigment preparation and testing standards. This includes the TAPPI T534 and TAPPI T646 optical property testing methods.

These standards show you how to prepare a compliant powdered sample, and our pulverizing device removes the hard work for you, making the process simple and convenient.

Our pigment and filler preparation and testing portfolio

Across the Industrial Physics portfolio, we offer a range of devices to pulverize, prepare and analyze your powdered samples.

Technidyne Powder Press: A solid, sturdy, and reliable device that creates uniform powdered puck-shaped mineral pigment samples for optical property testing.

ColorTouch X ISO: The ColorTouch X ISO is an accurate color spectrophotometer that features an integrated touchscreen, advanced data analysis, and sample tracking.

TEST/Plus TAPPI Brightness: The Test/Plus TAPPI Brightness machine is a reliable brightness tester that combines industry-standardized measurement technology with an innovative control package.

TEST/Plus ISO Brightness: The Technidyne Test/Plus ISO Brightness tests the brightness of paper, pulp and related materials to a high degree of accuracy.

Mineral and pigment testing – we crush the competition!

Over the decades we have learnt a lot about mineral pigment testing, and we share related insight across the knowledgebase section of our website. For starters, you could try this blog on how to perform a pigment test and then check out this one on how to measure paper opacity.
