Description

The Box Compression Tester is a four column, heavy-duty tester designed to determine the compressive forces which a transport case is subjected to, either in transit or stacked in a warehouse. Boxes can be tested to complete collapse or held automatically at a predetermined load for a given period to evaluate stacking loads.

Box Compression Tester Construction

The construction of the tester consists of a rigid moving platen driven by four recirculating ballscrews. Platen parallelism is better than 1:4000. Load readings are taken from an average of four balanced load cells to compensate for the effect of any off center loading.

The model CT features automated control of test procedures from an external PC. A comprehensive Windows.NET software package is provided to cover all types of testing.

Bench Mounted Box Testers

Small to medium sized boxes are best suited for our the Bench Mounted Box Compression Tester. These are compact, bench-mounted units with full computer control and a precision AC servo drive system. Lower platens are mounted on 4 balanced load cells for improved accuracy and tolerance of uneven loading.

Capacity Options:

  • 25 kN
  • 50 kN

Standard Platen Size Options:

  • 0.6 x 0.6m
  • 0.6 x 0.6m (25kN option only)
  • 0.8 x 0.8m

Floor Standing Testers

Large boxes are best suited for our Floor Standing Box Compression Tester. These are large, floor standing units with full computer control and a precision AC servo drive system. A Rigid 4-column load frame design with lower platen mounted on 4 balanced load cells for improved accuracy and tolerance of uneven loading.

Capacity Options:

  • 25 kN
  • 50 kN

Standard Platen Size Options:

  • 1.0 x 1.0m
  • 1.25 x 1.25m
  • 1.5 x 1.5m

Larger capacity Box Compression testers

For larger capacity box compression testers of 100kN, 150kN, 300kN or 600kN these are available and quoted upon review and evaluation of your specific application requirements, please select ‘Other’ to obtain your quote.
