Concrete Testing

Concrete testing solutions

A critical component of the construction and civil engineering industry, concrete is a humble yet essential material worthy of a comprehensive testing process.

Be sure that you’ve thoroughly testing the key properties of your concrete samples ahead of shipping out or building and choose testing solutions from Industrial Physics, for results you can trust.

Concrete testing systems to rely on

We have a number of systems available to test this critical material – like our civil engineering testing instruments. And we also offer compression testers – an instrument that is designed to ensure that you can perform effective testing to analyze key properties and achieve the highest quality results.

Our Universal Testing Machines offer a convenient way to carry out compression testing, as well as many other aligned testing processes. An alternative option is to measure surface hardness and material compression strength with the help of a concrete inspection hammer, like the mechanical LD0500 hammer. This heavy-duty, rebound hammer is manufacturer-calibrated and both easy to use and built to last

Testing concrete for water permeation

If you need to know the degree of water penetration into concrete or other building materials, then the Karsten Tube Penetration Test offers a comprehensive solution.

We also stock a selection of non-destructive concrete moisture testers, so you can test the levels in concrete floors or constructions, including the compact TQC Concrete Moisture Meter.

All of our concrete testing machines and accessories have been developed to give you fast, accurate and repeatable results – so you can gather the data you need without holding up the construction process. We’ve also got decade of experience in the construction and civil engineering market, and will be happy to help you find the testing solution that’s going to fit your bill.

Testing concrete to industry standards

There are a few widely recognized testing standards for concrete, such as the ASTM C39 which determines the compressive strength of concrete cylinders and the BS 8500, which is the British standard for specifying and producing concrete. There are also the widely recognized UNI EN 12504-2 and ASTM C805 standards, which refer to the quality of concrete and other construction materials.

We know that the standards vary depending on the market, your location and the job you need your concrete to do – that’s why our testing solutions are designed to meet, and often exceed, a wide range of international testing standards. This gives you the flexibility needed to get robust results.

Concrete testing experts

At Industrial Physics, we’ve been supporting manufacturers, production lines, and laboratories all over the world for almost a century. And we provide testing solutions for a multitude of different materials, from concrete to steel or alloys. Check out our featured products below or discover our full concrete testing range.
