When your products rub against one another in transit or when being hauled around a warehouse, for example, they can get damaged. This can lead to unnecessary waste and unhappy customers.

For example, you may want to examine materials that have been glued together. The universal test machine applies a tensile or compressive load to determine the overall strength of the adhesive, once the samples are pulled or pushed apart.
