SEAMetal XD: Alternate Between Gauge and Vision-based Seam Inspection

Software for collecting double seam measurements from gauges, with support for switching to video (destructive) testing 

 Industrial Physics has created a helpful measuring instrument and software package for collecting double seam data from HD video and tabletop gauges.

You can switch seamlessly between these measurement types using our ‘SEAMetal XD’ system. 

So, how does this help? For example, if you need to check that your canning operations are compliant with differing regulatory bodies, our fast SeamMetal HD camera can measure your seams during equipment setups, rechecks and changeovers. You can also use our tabletop gauges for regular seam checks during production runs. Our software takes all of the measurements, from either source, and displays them clearly together through reports and statistics. 

This clever device also features our industry-standard adaptive seam thickness gauge, a combination tabletop seam height / length, bodyhook and coverhook gauge and our countersink gauge. The overlap can be measured using the HD camera or calculated based on the other gauge readings.

This means that for the first time, you can get all the benefits of industry-leading SEAMetal software without having to change your existing seam quality procedures!
