When the testing experts at a paint formulation and raw materials laboratory need the best inspection devices for their global customers, they come to Industrial Physics.
Over the years we’ve been delighted to develop a strong, mutually-beneficial partnership with the team at Spektrochem.
Through our paint testing specialist brand TQC Sheen we’ve supplied them with quality laboratory equipment from wet scrubbing machines, drawdown devices and pendulum cups through to drying time recorders, flow cups and applicators.
The many inspection devices we have provided have been so well-received that Artur Palasz, R&D Director at Spektrochem has become somewhat of an ambassador for our products!
There’s nothing like chipped, corroded, or smudged paint to take the shine off a product or packaging – that’s why paint testing is such an essential part of the inspection process. And just one of the reasons for our great range of paint testing solutions.
Across our testing brands such as TQC Sheen and C&W Equipment, we have many decades of experience, but like to bring something fresh to the table. So we’re constantly experimenting and innovating to bring new, high quality inks and coatings testing equipment to the market.

Global company with localized support
Artur and his team at Spektrochem are experts in researching raw materials for water-based architectural paints. In fact, they use their skills and experience to provide a knowledge hub for global customers within the paint industry.
The team has been working with one of our Polish distributors for many years. Artur appreciates the personalized, local support we offer through our specialists who are positioned all over the world.
We’ve provided lots of tools for a wide range of purposes and we always ensure this valued customer gets the most out of them.
A problem-solving partnership
In the rare instance a customer experiences a challenge with our equipment, we step in to solve it. For example, the team had invested in a pendulum hardness testing machine which is used to measure coating hardness. After a period of regular sustained use they experienced an issue with the settings - it’s normal that the buttons used to operate the device will need repairs from time to time.
We were able to provide a quick and effective consultation over a video call. This offered a rapid solution to the problem, avoiding any delays that would be caused if we had only asked for the device to be shipped to us for inspection.
Training and support
Our customer relationships don’t stop after purchase. We act as a true partner – providing a full suite of solutions for each organization’s unique needs while also helping them to truly maximize the potential of our equipment.
But don’t just take our word for it!
Commenting on the standard of our products and the service provided, Artur of Spektrochem said:
“For many years, we have been a user of laboratory equipment under the TQC brand for coating tests. As an independent laboratory providing services to external clients from all over the world, we attach great importance to the quality of the equipment in our laboratory.
“The TQC Sheen equipment on which we work, including the wet scrubbing machine, the automatic drawdown machine, drying time recorder, flow cups, applicators, pendulum devices and many others meet our expectations in terms of compliance with the standards of international test methods and the ergonomics of work - as well as a zero failure rate.
“All our instruments under the TQC brand also meet the calibration requirements that are carried out by us on a regular basis. Many of our customers appreciate the TQC brand equipment, because it is a world-class apparatus that they know and use in their laboratories. Excellent technical contact, perfect customer service and fast order processing time are undoubtedly additional advantages that determine the choice of TQC as our permanent supplier of laboratory equipment today and in the future.”
